This year, our founders donated $10,000 in funds to support local charities and families from agricultural backgrounds. With your help, we’ll reach our fundraising goal of $25,000 in 2022. Funds raised will go toward scholarships for Los Alamos students and donations to adjacent Los Alamos non-profits.
Earlier this year, three families in Los Alamos from agricultural/culinary backgrounds lost their homes in a fire. We’ve helped get one back into a home, are in talks to buy a trailer for use by one of the other families, and we plan to support the other family with their pressing housing needs as they arise.
With the remaining funds, we plan to double our fundraising efforts in 2023 and expand the Flea to include educational talks, documentaries, and even more music, vendors, drinks, and attendees.
